DUANE
SAARI is a spiritual alchemist who has devoted his life to the study
and application of alchemical principles. Duane has
conducted workshops in Egypt and North America on the vital contribution alchemy can
make to our understanding and control of the essential experiences of our life
in today’s challenging environment of chaotic and unpredictable forces that
affect every aspect of our world.

PAULETTE DAGER-HARRIS is a practicing hypnotherapist and member
of the National Guild of Hypnotists. She also serves as an officer in the
International Alchemy Guild. Paulette first discovered alchemy while living in
Morocco, an early center of Arabian alchemy. She worked many years helping
Native Americans and Eskimos in Alaska, and today uses alchemical principles to
bring self-empowerment and healing to her clients.
JOHN
HERNANDEZ is a professional musician, composer, and producer. He is the
found of the creative alchemy project "Lux Pernanet" and also a co-writer and
producer of the Alchemical Rock Opera "Illumine." John is a Master Mason, a
Frater in the Fraternity of Hidden Light, and also serves as a
trainer-facilitator for the worldwide men's initiatory organization, the Mankind
Project.

You can order modules in any order at any time, and work on multiple modules at one time if you wish. You do not have to pass an exam to progress to the next module, however, you must pass exams to receive Certificates and Diplomas in the program.
Each module in this program is $80 and discounts are available for ordering multiple modules at a time. In addition to pursuing their studies in our online school, students can download copies of manuals, textbooks, audio and video files, and other resources for viewing offline or printing. Discounted manuals, textbooks, lab supplies, tool kits, glassware, chemicals, herbs and other supplies can be ordered from the Student Bookstore.
Each of the Seven Modules in this program contains experiments that demonstrate the ideas presented. Some of the experiments in the accompanying bound Proprietary Manuals are alchemistic meditations, while others are experimental demonstrations that can be performed in your own kitchen. A Portfolio of Alchemical Drawings plus Guided Meditations are provided for the spiritual alchemy exercises. A basic Alchemy Reference Guide and other materials are also included. KEY FEATURES OF THE PROGRAM
- Each of the first six modules covers a separate aspect of alchemy. The modules may be purchased in any order, and all modules purchased are sent together at the same time.
- Materials provided include proprietary texts not available elsewhere, charts and old alchemy prints, spagyric herbs, samples of metals, and chemicals. Meditative and thought experiments, as well as simple and safe chemical experiments are part of the instruction and demonstrate universal alchemical principles.
- You do not have to possess any expertise in the Hermetic arts, meditation, or chemistry. There is a Reference Guide containing an alchemy dictionary, a listing of ciphers and symbols, and charts of alchemical correspondences to assist your work. Original alchemy texts are included in appendixes in each module, and Resource Packs elaborate on the material for each module.
- Module work and exams are taken online or all materials can be downloaded at no cost for offline study or printing. Hard copy manuals are available in the bookstore.
- Your progress in the program is guided by practicing alchemists and recognized leaders in their fields. Forums, chat rooms, email, teleconferences, our social networking web devoted to alchemists, and support from local chapters give you all the help you need to proceed with confidence in this amazing field of human endeavor.
- Each module usually takes about 4-5 weeks to complete, although you have up to six months (3 months plus a 3 month extension if necessary) to finish an individual module. You must pass a written test for each module to qualify for Certificates and Diplomas in the program.
Description of the Course Modules
The path on which you are about to embark is part of the world's oldest spiritual tradition, a way of living in accord with the basic pattern of the universe that can result in magical transformations within your own life. These teachings date back beyond our contemporary civilization and are presented in their purest form, free from any organizational doctrine, religious dogma, or personal ego that may have corrupted them over the years. Similarly, on your part, you will have to give up habitual thinking patterns and predetermined assumptions that are part of the culture in which you grew up. You can get around that wall of social programming, if you learn to judge this material (and everything else in your life, for that matter) by how well it resonates with your own deepest intuition, that part of you that Egyptian alchemists called "Intelligence of the Heart." Unless you learn to combine logic and feeling in this way, to become alive and develop a "mercurial" consciousness, you will not be able to progress much in alchemy.
The first three modules in the home study program comprise what has been called the "Lesser Mysteries" of initiation, and you enter this discipline from the perspective of a Neophyte. These initiatory modules contain the basic doctrines and techniques to progress further in the Great Work. In order to make this preliminary material alchemically active in you, it is presented from two diametrically opposed viewpoints that the alchemists called Solar and Lunar consciousness. The next three modules cover practical work in alchemy and include simple demonstrations of alchemical principles. Module 1 (Alchemistic Philosophy) Study alchemical philosophy and see how it evolved from its roots in ancient Egypt right up to its modern rebirth in the principles of quantum physics. This hyper-history of alchemy is complimented by further readings on the philosophical basis of alchemy. The experiments in this module take place on the psychological and spiritual levels of your being and are extremely important to your success in this program. The goal is to develop the power of Alchemical Thinking, which takes place on multiple levels at once, and also ignite the Secret Fire of the alchemists within you. Without this Secret Fire of personal gnosis burning in you, you will have difficulty progressing in the final modules, since many of the later experiments and tests are directed towards this kind of direct knowledge. Module 2 (Spiritual Alchemy) This module attempts to bring all these principles alive within you so you can directly experience their validity. When practiced on the higher spiritual level, alchemy is a powerful force for the evolution of soul, which is the expression of the First Matter in us. By working in the inner laboratory of the mind, initiates learn alchemistic meditation and work with the Three Essentials to achieve transmutation. Your mystical training culminates, as you attempt to "ground" your newfound wisdom in the next module. Guided alchemical meditations and other resources are provided on CDs included with this module. Module 3 (Everyday
Alchemy) This module focuses on the creation of your own personal Philosopher's Stone, a guide and magical touchstone to transform all aspects of your life. Alchemy is the study of the forces of creation in the macrocosm of the universe. Once these principles are mastered, the individual (or microcosm) can utilize these same forces to transform and enhance his or her own life. You will discover that the health and wealth in your life are part of the "gold" of which the alchemists spoke. By this stage in the Work, you will begin to manifest the incorruptible state of consciousness and confidence that is the hallmark of the adept. Module 4 (The Metals & Their Correspondences)
Learn about he archetypal nature of the metals and their hidden affect they have on every level of our lives. By actually working with the metals, the alchemist gains an intuitive understanding of their profound signatures. In that way, the archetypal or universal correspondences are much more easily grasped. These correspondences exist simultaneously on the physical, psychological, and spiritual levels of reality. By integrating the opposing forces in your own metallic temperament (or personality), you will gain entry to the "Greater Mysteries," in which you become a true Initiate into the deeper truths of which so few of us are aware. Module 5 (Practical Laboratory Alchemy) This module focuses exclusively on basic physical techniques and chemical experiments. You will become familiar with the secret ciphers and alphabets of the alchemists, as well as understand the deeper meaning of alchemical symbols. You will actually perform experiments that demonstrate all the basic truths revealed to you in previous modules, including each of the Seven Steps of transformation. The overall goal behind combining spiritual and practical techniques is to use the tension created by these two opposite ways of looking at alchemy and fuse them into one holistic approach to the subject. Module 6 (Spagyrics
& Healing) In this module, you learn to separate and recombine essences to prepare alchemically active substances, as you continue to refine and develop your techniques and intuition on all levels. Spagyrics is a way of separating and preserving the hidden qualities (signatures) of plants and minerals in elixirs, tinctures, and powders. The result are subtle yet powerful medicines free of the impurities normally associated with their gross material forms. By learning to make tinctures and elixirs and work only with essences, you will become healthier, mentally clearer, and spiritually stronger for the challenges of the Great Work ahead. Module 7 (Alchemist Certification) If you wish to continue your training and have successfully completed the first six modules, you may enter Module 7, in which the secret of the First Matter and its transformation is the focus of instruction, and the adept will learn how to accumulate and manipulate this chaotic energy to attempt to change lead into gold on all levels on levels of the material, mental, and spiritual realms. As a true practicing Adept, you will be qualified to hold local alchemy seminars, classes, and personal consultations, as well as well as take on students of alchemy. You will also receive assistance setting up your own alchemical enterprise, such as making tinctures or jewelry, through the worldwide resources of the International Alchemy Guild. $80. |
